Southeast Somatic
A gentle approach to nervous system regulation and somatic integration.
Who This Work May Be For
People often find their way to somatic work after trying many different approaches and still feeling stuck in patterns of stress, overwhelm, or persistent physical symptoms. At Southeast Somatic this work is especially supportive for individuals who sense that their nervous system has been carrying the effects of difficult or overwhelming experiences.
This approach may be a good fit for people who are experiencing:
the lasting effects of developmental or relational trauma
shock trauma from accidents, medical events, or sudden life experiences
chronic stress, anxiety, or feeling constantly on edge
patterns of shutdown, numbness, or disconnection from the body
difficulty feeling safe, grounded, or fully present
chronic pain or stress-related physical symptoms that may be connected to nervous system patterns
Many people come to this work because they are looking for a gentler approach—one that does not require reliving difficult experiences, but instead supports the body and nervous system in gradually restoring balance.
What You Can Expect
At Southeast Somatic, sessions are collaborative, gently paced, and grounded in Somatic Experiencing®. When helpful, I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work and Pain Reprocessing Therapy to support healing across the brain, body, and nervous system. Together, we'll work toward greater regulation, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself.
Healing doesn't come from forcing change. It begins by creating the conditions where your nervous system can feel safe enough to do what it was designed to do.
You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. The work begins simply by creating a space where your nervous system can begin to settle and where healing can unfold at a pace that feels right for you.
